Custom taxonomy support in android app

For a wordpress site that has custom taxonomies set, the standard Wordpress android app doesn't list those taxonomies when we create a post using it. It only lets the author choose the standard categories or tags. (as far as I know.. testing it with this site.. you can see the custom taxonomies we're using by looking at the Filter widget. None of them show up when I'm creating a new post from the android app). Even when editing existing posts, we cannot assign anything from the other taxonomies.

Is there another app out there which supports custom taxonomies? Or is there something required on the website's end to make the custom taxonomies visible in the app?
