Multilingual website with subfolders

I am in the process of creating a international website by using the multisite function.

So i have URLs like www.example.com/fr/, www.example.com/es/.

But I'd like to have the possibility to create subfolders within those subfolders like http://ift.tt/16F2BHv but xxx should be a independent site and not just a static page.

Can I do this with one Wordpress installation ?
